Price of bead blasting

I just had my rear end and all my underhood brackets (incl. A/C brackets), front and rear backing plates, and one spindle glass bead blasted. Does $200 seem about right? Most places (usually sandblasters), they might want me to get them a few cases of beer or something instead.

Prices vary across the countries based on the cost of living for each area.

I would price a few shops out.

For $200 you can buy a sand blaster, and do it yourself, and then you would have the machine, and can do lots more blasting.

Yessireebob, Even less than that, yea Harbor Freight stuff is cheaply made but the blaster does work, I have had mine for 2 years and I got mine used at a yard sale for $50, I have the 40lb blast cabinet. I use it on guns, tools, BBQ grille stuf etc... You can make a bin to contain big stuff like rearends and shoot outside of the cabinet, works for me. Bringing stuff to the blaster dude gets expensive, especially if he drinks import beer. My buddies bring me beer to use my blaster, so I swill a few of there cold brews and then ask em, while your at it, why dont you blast this _________ for me, works every time. Tom Sawyer would be proud.

I have a blaster and also a bead blast cabinet. For small stuff i do my own in the cabinet. I gave up on the big stuff because i found a blaster to do my stuff for less than what the sand cost me (i dont reclaim it). Id shop around for blasters in your area.
