Pilot bushing

Got a 1970 W-31. I rebuilt the Muncie and am ready to reinstall. I have a new pilot bushing and the OD is 1.3810. The crank bore measures 1.3640. About 0.017 of an inch difference. I can not find a bushing that is around the size of the crank bore. I have had no luck finding a bushing close to the crank bore size. Anyone had any issue like this? My only thought is to have a new bushing machined down to the correct size.
Thanks,

If the crank is an original factory drilled crank use the pilot bearing as the factory did, should be the correct size.

Just to be clear, do you have a bearing or a bushing ?

Its a bushing. There is no grove in the crank for a snap ring
.

Earlier Olds stick cranks did not have a snap ring groove to retain pilot bearing, it was a tight fit...tapped in with a driver.

Ok thanks that's interesting. I will get a bearing and see how it fits. Thanks again.

Here's an old thread that discusses pilot bearings and pilot bushings. It also has part numbers.

Is this a manual trans. crank? - ClassicOldsmobile.com

Ok thanks again. I'll check out the info. That first pic looks exactly like my crank flange.

Bushing but I'm not sure it should be a bushing.
