Is an original 71 W30 radiator worth keeping?

I'm heading to the scrap yard with an old aluminum garage door, a leaky radiator out of a 70 SS454 Chevelle I had years ago. I added the w30 radiator to ther pile but figured it may have some value. It is a 4 core with plugs in the cooler holes. Is it worth more than the scrap price? Does anyone really care about radiators when they sell a car?
I need to know before tomorrow.
Dave

If your wanting to clean house and have less clutter than I'd suggest using a sawzall to cut the ends off the cores on both your W30 and SS radiators. Scrap the cores but save the tanks. They do have a two letter code pressed into the harrison tank, I believe the end with the radiator cap. Someone could always get them re-cored, but finding the correct tank should have value. In the past couple years I've had several requests for the correct code radiators for 1969 and 70 442's.

If you don't want to take the time to cut the ends off, then get a good picture of the code and create a parts for sale ad. I betcha someone would buy it, leaks and all! John

Good idea,
The Olds radiator probably would work. I got in one of those cleaning the attic moods and over the years I've thrown out some good stuff. My son stopped me from tossing the Olds rad. The code is CP on the Olds tank and EB on the tag. I'm not sure if it is correct or not. I'll dig the Chevy rad out of the pile and save the ends.
Thanks guys.

You guys are breaking my heart.

I left my original '70 SS radiator (4-core, no trans fittings) in the garage at my last house because it was perpetually leaky, and just seemed not worth the energy to throw into the moving truck. I had fixed the tanks with pennies and copper foil when I was a teenager.

::sigh::
