Engine questions for new 72 Cutlass

Hi guys, I'm new to the site and just recently bought a 72 Cutlass S. The engine seems to have a miss in it and if you unplug one certain plug wire it idles fine. Any ideas what might be the issue with it? Thanks for your help.

X2 Sounds like a short, likely bad wires. You will probably want to go the whole nine yards, and replace plugs wires cap rotor, points and condenser. At least that is what I have done in the past. That way I KNOW everything is done, and should expect it to last. I am kind of lazy though, and don't like tearing into the same things repeatedly

Welcome to the site. I agree with replacing the plug wire it sounds like they are cross firing. this happens when the wires are old.

The back seat? Well, you should be simply able to lift the front end of the rear seat bottom cushion up towards the back of it. Sort of push in and up. Then, the seat back will have one bolt on either side at the bottom bolting down the seat back cushion frame. After the bolts are removed, you have to lift the seat in an upwards motion (towards the roof) to get it to unhook at the top.

Hopefully this makes sense. In my mind, it's very simple. Typing it out, not so much.

Don't forget to remove the arm rests first...
