Alternator identification???

Alternator identification???
I have an alternator that was removed from a running 1966 Starfire 425 years ago, but am not sure if it is the original. Car was not A/C equipped.
The stamped numbers on it are as follows:
1100777 55A
7H30-12 V NEG
Does anybody know what this alternator is for, or how to read any date codes, etc??
Thanks in advance!!

Right, my mistake. I said early 1967, but meant early 1968. I think the plants shut down in July to change over. I was looking for a 67 ap, the info I gave is for the 67 ap. I'll check again + see if they carried it over to 68 also.

Does anyone here need this alternator? Appears to be a 55 amp. unit for early '68 production, possibly correct for 442/Hurst Olds, according to other threads and posts here.
Make a reasonable offer.....I have no use for it, but it may be correct for your car!

Bump to the top....somebody NEEDS this!

Bump.....I KNOW somebody needs this alternator; it is obsolete and hard to find in any condition. I do not believe it has ever been apart, or rebuilt! This thing is nice, and was taken off a running car years ago!!

Good one, Yellow!
But the car was in Park, so I thought it would be safe.....if I used gloves!
The carburetor proved to be a little more difficult, though: I found out it wouldn't run when I unbolted it.......

Sorry, I've been out of town for a couple of days; just getting around to answers now!
Since I want this to go to the right person, please check all your part numbers/applications for the correct part! Thanks!
According to info given here, it should be correct for an early 1968 production car, either Olds or another GM model.
