73 delta 88 heater control

Can anyone tell me if and how to change the heater/ air conditioning control in my 73 delta 88 with a 455 from the original comfortron which STINKS to a manual control. I have bought a whole new cluster from a 71 olds 98 and it included the heat and ac control but without cables. Now i have bought a manual heat and ac control straight from a 73 delta 88 and apparently it has vacume lines in addition to cables but they are also cut. My mechanic has the car and the 1st controller I bought which has no vacume hoses and I am getting VERY frustrated. HELP Thanks, Mike

God help, man. You need more than just the control head. You need a 71-73 B or C body parts car to get the entire manual control heater/AC box from plus all the ductwork behind the dash.

What exactly is this Comfortron doing?

Thanks for the reply, the comfortron blows warm/hot air constantly at vryig speeds and usually out of the foot vents but depending on the setting out of all of the vents. The ac has been disconnected but even when i turn the thing to off it still blows hot air. Thoughts, Mike
