67 442 Carb tag
We are about to rebuild my 67 442 carb and my shop foreman said the ID tag on the carb does say it is in fact a 67 Olds carb, but shows it to be from an automatic car. Were there differences in ID tags and if so any mechanical difference between the two?

You didn't state the model number. You'll probably need someone that's more familiar than I. If it's a 4MV Quadrajet my book shows 3 numbers for 1967 on the 400:
7027156 (w/o A.I.R.)
7027157 (A.I.R.)
7027032 (C.C.C.)
7027156 (w/o A.I.R.)
7027157 (A.I.R.)
7027032 (C.C.C.)

Your shop foreman knows not of what he speaks.....
As Ozzie correctly demonstrated, MT and AT carbs were the same in 1967. The only differences were for 49-state use (non-A.I.R.), Calif use (with A.I.R.), and with the Climate Controlled Combustion system (C.C.C.). The latter is the heated air cleaner as used on the Turnpike Cruiser and optionally available on other V8s that year.
