1969 olds Model 98 no start no lights

Hey there I got a 1969 Oldsmobile model 98. It's never had a problem starting. Last week I put a new battery in it because it seemed like it was starting kind of week and when I tried starting it. It died out and I have no dash lights or anything anymore. I'm trying to figure out what it could be. Thanks in advance!

Use a voltmeter and test the battery voltage. Check the battery cables for cleanliness and tightness at both ends of the cables. Have you tried jump starting it?

Let us know what you find and we will start a diagnosis.

Good luck!!!

My guess from afar is battery connections, ether grounds or the hot lead to the starter. If juice stops before the horn relay its something to do with the battery or connections.... Tedd

A fuseable link goes from the battery to the horn relay. This wire feeds all the ccts. in the car at the horn relay. No dash lights, no power from horn relay.

This is where I would start, too. I have had poor electrical connection with replacement bolt-on cable end terminals and even a molded cable that had corrosion inside the insulation and the wire strands broke, but the cable still looked OK.
