I am a volunteer at the local heritage village and while I don't own any old cars, I get to play with about 20 vehicles under restoration (2 X'25 Olds, 1917 Buick Tourer, 1913 Hotchkiss, several T and A model fords, 1924 Nash etc. Both 1925 Olds have been played with and have oil lines installed by others - with no oil pressure. The problem is obviously with the oil check valves and lines which have air in them.
Does anybody have some info and/or drawings of the lines and particularly the check valves adjacent to the sump?

You should contact the National Antique Olds Club to see if you can contact an early Olds adviser. If you cannot locate one let me know. Gary

Do those engines have oil pumps? Most vehicles back then used splash lubrication with dippers on the crankshaft.

I am not sure about the early Olds engine Chevrolet had dippers and also a oil pump. The dippers lubed the rod bearings and the pump did the top of the engine.

Th eolds both have oil pressuer gauges fitted.
No oil pressure showing on the Olds in question.
