I got some Walker oem 442 headpipes with my last parts car and welded some stock length Walker Super turbos on myself. Headpipes need 4" added technically for wheelbase. I will buy tailpipes or have done.

Thanks. I just can't find the time to get mine to a shop. They are only m-f so I may end up doing it myself over the winter.

Been driving the wagon a lot with the freebie temp motor and finally tearing into the original 310 hp one. Knowing it had a spun rod bearing but otherwise seems excellent. it has very little to no sludge inside and the cranking PSI was really high , the low cylinders were 180-190 and the others were 210 or more. The bad rod bearing was #7 as that is the only piston with carbon off at top where its kissing the head. Valves look good too. Should be a easy re ring , crank job build (plus cam). The tough part is to decide if I am stilling doing bigger valves or not or just save the money. No plans for headers anyway. The ported head motor for Rallye is getting headers so at least one will.

Ran the low compression stock 350 at the 1/8 mile tonight just to see and it was back to back 10.20@68.5 with light tire spin(x2) 2.2 60 ft. So what was a 7.9@86 has slowed a bit LOL

The original engine is still at short block status on tear down heads off only. I got a few new parts bought. Thinking it will be ready this summer. Got a few priorities ahead of it. Leaning towards repaint first

Cruising with original engine back !

I have not been on much in a while but during this work from home time I finally got my original engine together and back in running good. Already cruised over 100 miles monitoring temps and oil psi. All good no leaks runs good. I added headers to car a while back and using a 79 TA 403 shaker base for HEI clearance cause I had it laying around. Also for first time since I had it the inside panels are back on. The beer run wagon is good to go !

Had to get the dust and bird poop off after putting new stock upper A frames in place of previous tubular ones along with a 800 Q-jet from a 403 and new pretty plated brake booster , master and hold off valve and exhaust leak fixed at header collector.

Wagon wins Modified Muscle

1st race of the 2023 Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge series yesterday and brought the wagon and went rounds and took the Win in my class ! This class allows me to use same racer # points and bring different vehicles to different races and keep points in one class.

Thanks for sharing this thread, I enjoyed reading and seeing the pictures. It motivated me considering the hole I seem to be in at the moment with my Vista. Beautiful car!
