New intake after coolant leak!

Well, I finally took the Cutlass out for a short drive last Sunday. I was told on this forum not to use the cheapo rubber plugs to block off the water pump and intake quite awhile back and didn't worry about them. Anyways, after about a half an hour of an enjoyable cruise finally, Poof. the one on the rear of the intake let go. Rotten rubber. It just covered everything and filled the intake with antifreeze. Luck has it, I was only 2 miles from home and the wife brought me some fix it parts out of the garage and some antifreeze. Got her home and flushed everything off before putting her away. Yesterday, I had time to fix the problems, and was surprised to see that the aluminum Edelbrock intake looked like new! It had been starting to turn brownish and was hard to clean. I couldn't get that off with hand polish etc. Easy fix, blow a radiator hose or plug! Prestone 50/50. Interesting.
