Is there any problem running an original 68 Rallye Pack tach from the tach output lead on an MSD 6AL?

Do you keep the condenser when you convert to the MSD?

I tried searching here but don't seem to be able to get the search function to recognize three characters thus "MSD" cannot be searched

Apparently no help from here so I asked MSD

MSD says I need a Voltage trigger. $60 for the part. I should have just bought a Rev limiter

No one else here is running a stock tach with a MSD 6AL that can comment?????

Thanks for the response. The reason I asked, even after getting a response from MSD, is there seems to be very little but conflicting information. It seems that the signal from the MSD tach port MAY be too low to work the tach (or the wrong frequency, wavelength, etc). I really guess I want to be sure if I try it I won't cook the tach.
