Pictures popping up on my pictures

I know there have already been discussions about pop-ups on this site and it has been explained as advertising for funding but now almost every picture I view on this site a cadillac add pops-up in the picture and I have to X it out to see what I clicked on. I love this site and am on it every day but this is getting rediculous! Any much more of this nonsense and I will look elswhere for my olds info and parts.

Yeah, that's BULLSHED
There comes a point where advertising is a TURN OFF
when it's crammed down yer throat constantly.

If I want a new car I know how to find 'em.
Sadly, it will never, ever be a Cadillac.

Anyone else noticed how slow the site has gotten? I assume it has gotten so slow because of all the ads on here.

Has everyone now ended up with a "click to enlarge" bar over larger pictures, rather than just having the picture as it should be?

I hate that.

Thought it might be my browser (just updated Chrome), but I can find no settings that would affect it.

Ditto. I'm going to switch over to Firefox to see if I can get rid of these issues too.

I'm afraid Firefox does exactly the same thing - must be a new "feature" from V-Bulletin.

Yep, i have the same issue.
They realized they are sucking so much bandwidth for ads, they had to reduce the sizes of real-content pictures to avoid crippling the site totally...
These new small pictures SUCK, especially when looking at the long resto threads where you would want to see the details along with the writeups.
Geez.... Can we get it back the way it was?
