You beat me to it. I was going to start a thread "The stupidest thing a buyer said about your car.'

X2 on Hating selling cars.

Oddly enough a guy from Ontario called me late last night an INSISTED ON SPEAKING TO ME RIGHT AWAY.

My wife knew better than to wake me up. So I called him back this morning and woke him up.

haha

I had one guy I sold some MC parts to called me up several times, mostly it appeared to be to talk bikes and share his progress w me on his project. I didnt really mind just thought it odd considering he lived a few states away and our only connection was the parts sale ?

Example Ad....

1972 Radiant Green Vista Cruiser Survivor Low Miles 455/400 $15,999.00

Ah ha hahahahhahha!! Prolly thought Radiant Green was the company who makes Vista Cruiser.

HEY! BTW, I saw a newer model camper van on the hiway recently and it was badged as a (yup) Vista Cruiser! I guess they've been making them since the early 2000s. Fer you guys that want to call horse hockey on this, here's a pic/ made by 'Gulfstream'. This one is an 06 and asking 46K :

Hey Allan , not trying to be a smart *** or anything , but I do see this spelling a lot. PROLLY. I think your looking for PROBABLY. Consider it a public service anouncement.

I been called out by the word police Ha ha, you missed the 'Fer' instead of "For". Mike, Once in awhile I adopt some short cuts I've learned from others on this site. Anyway it's all good - we know it means probably and read it that way. I actually looked "prolly" up on the web and it's defined as:
Prolly (adverb) * means probably

They useta annoy me, but these days I am more bemused than anything else by those idiotic calls and E-mails...especially the ones that come AFTER the vehicle has sold. There's an *ss for every seat, you just gotta deal with a bunch before you get to the right one.

I wouldn't necessarily say my guy was a dumb buyer but I put my 72 350 on craigslist and ended up selling the whole thing to the same guy on 3 different visits in 4 days. He called and asked for the oil pan, oil dipstick and the exhaust manifolds. Then called the next day and asked if he could come look at the rest of the motor. He came looked at it and bought it. Then called me at 10:30pm on a friday night and said he needed an intake manifold which he showed up at nearly midnight to get. Luckily it was a friday and I was working on my car anyways. Everytime he came out he talked my ear off, weird for someone you don't know. I didn't mind just a little weird when he can clearly see I am busy. He had to do all of this because he bought a 403 from a guy who basically screwed him over and he needed the parts for his race car. I felt bad for him but luckily we were able to help each other out. Back to the original point of this thread of bad buyers, I sell things on craigslist all the time I post pictures and every detail a buyer needs to know. Every single time I get people asking for details that are in the post and for pictures. Do they not read the dang POST????? Irritating!!!!!

Nope, most of em can't read - they just look at the pictures and then out of the blue they just pick something.....

That's a funny story about the 350. You must be very patient. Guys like that usually sound like this to me: blah blah blah blah.... They usually get the hint when I walk away or fart. Whichever comes first.
