Live feed from Detroit
Just finished my 4th day of The 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise.
Its a lot of work.My right leg is now twice the size of my left.
I left this morning at 8:00 to grab some T shirts for my Good friend Mike Richards of Birmingham Alabama.
And it was wall to wall.
If anyone is interested they have a live feed tonight.
If you Google WXYZ Detroit Channel 7 it is all there.
It is truly amazing 1.5 Million people over 50,000 cars.
Check it out
Tell me what you think.

I was there all day Thursday, and my left leg is twice as big as my right.lol. Next year I will go the week before. [With the car sitting at it's proper stance and a 3;42 gear set instead of those nasty 3;91's.] [Did my first mileage check...13.2 M.P.G.... ][14 M.P.G. Canadian]
I saw probably a handfull of Oldmobiles there, but you can't be everywhere at once so there were likely more elsewhere along the route.Lot's of cool cars, but you couldn't pay me to go today...just way too many people.

It is a great time.
My question to you is this..
Was it worth it?
Would you come Back?
Lots of Great People Driving Great Cars ,
Families sitting on the sidelines waving. All very compimemtary .
I drove through there this morning all by myself .
I saw about 20 people .All with special needs.Probably from a Group Home.
Just sitting there on the curb and smilng from Ear to Ear..Waving ...having so much fun. I got a little emotional.
6'1 / 235 and emotional
This is a great country ..Cruising is what we did as Teens and Young adults.
Happiness is simple.
Everyone seems to put down thier differences and have fun.For this event.
This City is falling apart and this is just about the only thing we have left to hang on to.
What a shame.
The Glass is always Half Full.

I was their today too, but just took my daily car and parked in the Memorial lot off 13 mile. Put a lot of mile's on my legs, but got sick of the sun baking down, so just left. No way I'd drive my car on Woodward, at this event, as you can walk faster than cars are going.

I work in Detroit, and my job has me all over the metro area. I had meeting in Troy and Birmingham Wednesday and Thursday. I hopped over to Woodward both days to see what was around. It was pretty busy but you could still cruise. I was going to head over with my car on Friday but just too busy at work. I have not gone on a Saturday for about 7 years. Way too much for me. I will watch it on tv tonight though.

Actually just spoke with a buddy a short bit ago, that's with a Corvtte group set up in the Burger King lot between 13 & 14. He usually stays to the end, but the wind really stated picking up, followed by rain. They were all scrambling around getting the canopies down before they started flying around damaging things. He's home now.
