Atlantic Nationals 2011 Pictures

Wow, that's about all I can say. I have never been to a show this size before. Not as a participant or spectator. Sunday was the "big" day. Gates opened a 7am. By 11:00 they stopped registering cars. There were 1904 cars paid to enter. They announced at 1pm that 2300 cars have come through the gates. There was a steady flow of cars in all afternoon too. The total was estimated at 2400 cars by the 3:00 judging resutlts. Here is the first posting of pictures. Many more to follow. Sadly, I counted only 6-8 Oldsmobiles in the entire show.

Oldsmoblie #1 - Mine

This Chevelle was just purchased in Calgary and on its way to its new home in Cape Breton, NS. The driver was very pleased with his purchase.

Oldsmobile #2

Mr BEAN!

I'm hungry and I don't know why.

My almost 4 year son loved meeting Filmore from thr movie Cars and Cars2

Max loved seeing a real Monster Truck. Bigfoot was BIG hit with him.

This following picture is now in his cubby at preschool. All the boys in the class are jealous of him.

More pics to follow when time permits..... I have 135 to post (insert surprised smilie here) !

Very cool Adam. The biggest show I was ever at was Oldsmobile's 100 Anniversary. There were 2200 cars there...all Oldsmobile. We had 67 Oldsmobiles at our Rocket Round Up in Olds this past weekend.

Oldsmobile #7

Oldsmobile #8 - This guy spent over 40 minutes driving around trying to find a place to park.

Oldsmobile #9

Crazy Custome '32 Ford

The park has a permanent car themed water park. Very cool!

Every little spot was filled with a car. It seemed like the were coming out of the woods like creepy Deliverance hillbillies.

No show is complete without the General Lee. Coo Coo Cooo

Still more to come......

This 1952 Chevy Delivery van was purchased for $1.00US in Maine, USA. The guy said that he has $700 into the van and is doing the work himself. It was driven to the show. He's in early 20's, if that.

Just for reference here is a stock looking 52 Chevy Delivery from another show.

This guy was driving around for hours just doing a drive-thru car show.

still more.....

Glad to see you enjoyed your time in Moncton. Must say you have the best number of pix on the net. I had the Autumn Bronze 66 Olds 442 in your collection. Hope to meet you next year.

I had agreat time there. My almost 4 year had a great time too. I remember you and your car well. I was was the guy who came over to you as you and the Skylark behind you tried to park without hitting the bushes or going down the embankment. We talked about the 30 minutes it took to find a parking spot and how the Oldsmobile line is under represented at these shows. I hope you had a great time too.

And the last shot...... The prefect way to end a great 4 day car show. On the back of a flat bed for the last 100km/60 miles home.

.... but that is another thread.

Overall it was great time. I hope everyone involved and all people who came out to look had a great time. I may even go back next year.

Adam,

Thanks for posting all the pics. Looks like it was an amazing show. Sorry you had car trouble on the way home, but at least you made it there. I'll have to look for the other thread to see what happened to your ride.
