best reproduction parts

Redoing a 1970 convert. Needs a trunk lid. who makes the best repro of do they all come from the same place?

Can't help you on the repro's,,, but try darn hard to find a original. I heard bad things about the repro's. Good Luck.

A single manufacturer is making them - they just started reproducing these about 3-4 years ago. A 4 door decklid will fit a convertible as well, so that opens up your options as far as donor cars are concerned. Lettering/badges/etc. will be different between years and models though so you may have to drill and fill. Same with repros - no emblem holes are pre-drilled.

I'd suggest combing the US for an OEM steel one.

Most repop stuff is low grade junk, or thin steel that buckles easily.
