Crazy ebay listing
I think some of the inmates in the asylum have either escaped or have access to a computer.

I have a bolt I have to list, should get the big bucks.
I found it at the Roswell UFO crash site then I took it up to the great Northleft and found a Bigfoot then had the beast beat on it with a ball peen hammer until the head looked like the face of Jesus.

Thru the 28th, Ebay is offering free listings. You could put the Roswell bolt on for a $1,000,000 if you wanted to.
The guy selling the rochester bolts has nothing to loose but his reputation. Do agree that you would have to be high to pay that much for a pair of bolts.

This is probably due to 'those people' that are way too particular about originality. Show snobs, so to speak...original drivetrain is original enough if you drive the damn thing. No original drivetrain? Then build it your way!
STOP THE MADNESS!!!

Must be time to sit down and go through all of those old coffee cans full of bolts and sort them into category's and list them on e-bay as part of my retirement plan. The sorting alone could take years.

It is interesting the seller has 19032 feedbacks and 100% positive. Nothing against him at all. It will just be interesting to see if there is a greater fool out there somewhere.

I've seen parts go for insane money because, for instance, when you're getting your Corvette judged by NCRS or Bloomington Gold they require you to have the proper bits with the proper finishes (cad-plating, engine-orange overspray, etc.).
And if this was for a Duesenberg or other pre-war classic it might make sense, but there isn't a car on the "used in" list that qualifies.
As my grandfather used to say, "You can ASK whatever you want, but you can't EXPECT it"...

Absolutely crazy. If someone got near my car at a show to look at head bolt markings for judging purposes, I'll close the hood on their head! Besides, Paragon reproductions carries the correct headmark bolts for $2 each.

LMAO!!! This is funnier than Charlie Sheen on Jerry Springer!! (Seriously\, the funniest damn thing I've read on here yet! GOOD job BlueVista! )

You may want to hold off on that. Surprisingly the bolts did not sell. I know we are all shocked.
