I would assume that code transferred to Cole and then Cardinal, but don't know for sure as those were dualled dealers.

Dave, I've sent Steve Moskowitz a link to this thread in hopes he might know some of the Midwestern dealer codes. He owned Classic until GM pulled the damn rug out from under him and had worked for Oldsmobile for many years before that.

I believe I have a couple of Vanguard awards for Lennertz salesmen.

I believe it's important not only to show the dealer name and code, but the build date of the car or any dates on original literature as well, when posting this info. If Olds dealer codes are/were anything like Chevrolet dealer codes, they most likely changed from year-to-year. For instance, in finding the original dealer and code for my '71 Corvette, I found out that another Chevy dealership about 100 miles away had the same dealer code in 1967 as the dealership where my Corvette was delivered in 1970. So, if it's available, be sure to include any dating information along with the dealer name and code.

Its not that they changed year to year, its that a lot of dealers merged or were sold and changed names, or went out of buisness. Another thing that happened was a major push by Olds for dealers to build bigger dealerships. A lot of Olds dealers, up until the early 60s, were housed in urban settings in very small buildings. The mid 60s saw a boom in dealership construction. New, bigger, with more room for more inventory. So many dealers in the 60s moved, and may have got a new zone code if they moved far enough.

An example of this is Brainbeau Olds, probably the most famous of the racing dealerships. They were out of business by 1968.

The listing ended but scroll down to the recommendations and then look at the old OLDSMOBILE Dealers from the 1950's-60's from all around the country. To my knowledge the original owner of dealer, Mr. Trevellyan passed away. His daughter took over and sold and/or auctioned ALL possessions. To my knowledge, dealer is defunct.

Oldsluvr, I had a nice dealer trunk badge from Bowen a couple years back. Finally threw it out figuring no one would ever need it. Found it on a junked Ciera in a local yard.

I've found them from University in Lansing, Ebersole in PA, and a lot from northern VA dealers that made their way south in the used car pipeline.

I saw a real nice W-30 car for sale that was sold new at Roberts Oldsmobile in Auburn Washington on Auburn Way, They actually still have the large oldsmobile sign out front at the dealer. I will try to get a picture of the sign and post it. I do not have the dealer code though

Here is where my 75 was bought new on 8-7-75 with 71 miles on it. The car came from Riverside and now it lives in Riverside not far from where it was bought new. This is still operational as Dutton Motor company now and they do Cadillac and GMC truck still. Just no Oldsmobile now.

Got 1 about 70 blocks south of yours. Hollingshead Oldsmobile, can't remember the address, but it was on South Western Ave. My dad bought his brand new 66 starfire from there. I was 6, when they opened up those big glass doors, and rolled the car off the showroom floor.
