To those of you who knew Bob, from Richmond, IN, I just wanted to let you know that he passed away last evening in an auto accident. Bob was a great guy and knew the 1970 Cutlass/442 like no other. He will be sadly missed. GOD SPEED BOB.

Yes, bobsw32 on here, he was a fine man. He was always willing to offer advice, spare parts, and constantly drove his fine oldsmbiles around town...in addition to being a fine member of the community... He certainly will be missed.

Did not know Bob personally, but do recall his posts. RIP Bob and prayers go out to his family. I hope his wife is OK.

FYI: the paper reported that Jane was listed in good condition on Sunday....

A nice tribute to Bob in today's edition:

Here is a link to the latest article including the report from the coroner...I only include this because it sheds light on a safety issue that we should all be reminded of from time to time.....

Bob drowned in 3 1/2 feet of water because he could not get out of his seatbelt....a tragic reminder that we should all carry a knife or tool in our cars....the article includes a safety link on this matter....

our prayers are with Jane Ann and the rest of the family....

From reading the details and timings, I am forced to think, hmm?

This truly was a tragic story. Not to totally disown Fords, but their lines have had a history of problems... I Never interacted with him directly, but may he rest knowing buddies and enthusiast here shall keep his spirit going.

Someone say lawsuit?
