Songs that make your foot heavy

Songs that make your foot heavy
OK, I did songs about cars and several people talked about songs that make them (huh "make" them) driver faster.
So what songs/tunes push your pedal to the medal.
for me they are:
1) Battle without Honor or Humanity by Tomooyasu Hotei (also on Kill Bill Vol 1 sound track)
2) Highway Star - naturally
3) Hot for Teacher - Van Halen
4) Knockin at your backdoor - Deep Purple
5) Dirty Diana - Michael Jackson
Yea I know that last one is kinda an unusual pick, but it is a long story about a girl back in college (yes named Diana, and of course long before the song came out)......the kind your momma wouldn't approve!!!

So funny that this post came up now. Just this weekend I installed a RediRad in my daily driver and finally hooked up my Ipod. Driving home last night, Master of Puppets by Metallica came on....it was almost scary how my right foot got very heavy at that same moment! LOL

Nothin' wrong with red dirt. It don't get much better than CCR (Cross Canadian Ragweed, not that other band with the same initials).
BOC "Take Me Away" and "Mistress of the Salmon Salt" always did it for me in the car. Filter, Cult and Monster Magnet tend to make my foot a little heavy too.
T101 had a neat interview performance with Ian Astbury and the Cult last night. They sounded a little tamer than I remember them live, but that may have been the setting.

Blue, that's awesome! So many great tunes on here already, here's a few more:
BTO - Roll on Down the highway
Just about any Van Halen - with Sam or Dave
Ooh, speaking of Sammy Hagar - I Can't Drive 55 will always work for any generation
Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood
Ozzy - Crazy train
not the biggest country fan, but... 455 Rocket
My new favorites - Burn it to the Ground - Nickelback or Uprising by Muse
For oldies, any good old rockabilly Carl Perkins...
Jimmy Lloyd - Rocket in my Pocket
Billy Lee Riley - My Gal Is Red Hot
Commander Cody - Hot Rod Lincoln
Eddie Cochran - C'mon Everybody
Come On Let's Go - Richie Valens
Would any of those for ya D Appledorn?)

Now I know just how heaven feels
When she reach beneath my big old steerin' wheel
Dyna flow, power glide
Bored and stroked, I'm satisfied
When I take my baby for a ride
"Let it Roll" -Little Feat

Ooo she's like a smooth stretch of highway...
Dang- haven't heard "Driver's Seat" in forever. I remember finally having to order the album. Ordered it and the Chilliwack "Fly at Night" album at the same time. "Fly at Night" could make my foot press harder under the right circumstances, but it was more a night cruising tune. Steely Dan's entire "The Royal Scam" album could also affect my driving under the right circumstances.
I could not listen to "Detroit Rock City" in the car- I'd find myself traveling way faster than was sensible, and sensible to me back then was 10-15 over the limit.

what about Shocking bleu? with venus. or never mary a railroadman.
This was a Dutch (my country) band thaty broke through in the states with the song venus.
What a voice.
"Aceshigh" i'm 31 and like the older style music more.
It is more about good taste
like i like bleus but do not like the r&b of today, and rock against pop/techno.

Some people are moved by Elton John.
Some by Country, Some by Blues, Some by Rock.
I dig some classic rock too......mainly because my father listened to it and that's what I grew up to.
The classic rock is my mellow music, Boston, Doobie brothers, The Who, etc.
I've even seen George Thorogood live in San Francisco in 1996.
Don't get skerred now. lol
The saying goes.....
IF it's too loud and fast, you're too old. Crank it, or Retire
Slipknot - Psychosocial
All That Remains - Two Weeks and the more gutteral Air That I Breathe

I tend to exceed the speed limit to:
Keep on Chooglin (CCR)
Flight of the Phoenix (Grand Funk)
Gear Jammer (George Thorogood)
Marsailles (The Angels)
We gotta get out of this place (ditto)
Shadow Boxer (ditto)
Take a long line (ditto)
The other Zeppelin & D/Purple songs have been covered.

Aces, my music collection would probably stun you. It does most people. I'll listen to anything except rap/hiphop/modern R&B, and this drivel that passes for top 40 these days- what a friend calls "pop-tart music". Though I'm sure some folks think Britney Spears and Justin Bieber rule. Each to their own. Me, I'm more like what Ozzy Osbourne said in an interview with Mark Hoppus a while back- "Who the f__k is Justin Bieber?!"
That collection includes classical all the way back to 1400s Gregorian chant thru modern rock such as Slipknot and Korn, on shellac, vinyl, tape and CD. Screw an mp3 or iPod, it compresses the music too much and you lose the engineering and about half the frequency range. Not that it makes much difference with a lot of this modern musical noise.
Would it surprise you to know that I've met and had a pleasant conversation with Henry Rollins? Very intelligent and erudite man who can converse at length about a lot of things.
