Wiper Motor Repair
#2
There are "repair kits", but for the price of a new one (If I remember correctly around $30 at O'Reilly Auto Parts), I went ahead and bought a new one. It is still working 11 years later on my everyday driver. Not sure what today's price on one would be.

New from any local auto parts store is reasonable, but they're also good junkyard items to buy dirt cheap and throw on a shelf for when you need 'em.
How many people junk a car because the wipers stopped working?
More likely they just shelled out for a new wiper motor when something more important let go and then they junked it.

i found a good source for you where you can do it manually by yourself. it also incorporates a good video that shows you how to do it. this is a good source for Auto Repair Troubleshooting
