How many 442īs have you destroyed?

Wow, that's a helluva teaser...
You're supposed to follow that up by saying that they were all completely stripped of any good usable parts and that they were already beat, damaged and rusted beyond any hope of restoration...right?!?

This thread is worthless without pics
I just crushed the original TV Batmobile.
I didn''t need the parts because I have a Poncho that says Sunfire on the side.
I couldn't even tell you how many Chebby C-10 trucks I've destroyed there have been so many.
They're called Cent 10's here because there a dime a dozen.
I'm going to Wal-Mart now to look for some of those Chebby boxed NOS rear view mirrors that I can flip to an Olds or Poncho guy on evilbay for $499 dollars woof.

No Torsten, Iīm not drunk. I was just showing the guys in the pickup forum how you all would react to something like this.
No, we didnīt crush any 442s and will never ever do it!
In the truck forum a guy asked the same thing about 67-72 Pickups.
Click Me!
Sure wish I knew before that I could get parts for my truck at WalMart.
Sorry if I disturbed anyone.
@ Torsten - You crashed yours, you didnīt crush it.

I know a guy who brought a rusty 66 W30, white with red bench interior (3407 model) to the OCA Nationals in 1979. Later he crushed the car, saving some W30 parts.
Top that, guys!
I'll make up a free sign for you; here's your sign as Jeff F. says.

Back in the 80's and early 90's when I was racing circle track. We use to build and repair alot of cars for people. The chassiss of choice were 68-72 A bodys and 2nd gen camaros. I can't tell you how many cutlasses, chevelles, skylarks, lemans firebirds and camaros we cut up. Probably close to 100. We use to get them for free from a few towing companys and salvage yards that sponsered us. Many were rust free, some even drove. Back then it was just parts to fix something that was twisted, bent or a new build. To have those cars back would be a dream$$ but the memories are worth it

when i was in my early teens, before i fell in love with oldsmobiles, we would drive by a car that had ben run over by a monster truck. i was at the age that monster trucks were awesome. dad always told me at the time that people would stop and ask the guy if he would sell the car (before it was crushed) the guy always told people that it was not for sale and got tired of people asking about it so he decided to run it over with the monster truck. about 10 years ago i ask dad about that car because it had ben gone for years. he said that it was a 70 442 W-30. i had no idea that it was a 442. i bet the guy hates himself now.

Me and my Dad parted out a LS6 1970 Chevelle back in 85. The motor was gone and we wondered why the tach redlined at 6500. It was an easily restorable car. I've parted out several SS chevelles and one 65 442 4 speed convertible.

I knew a cop in the '80s that would impound cars( mostly we were into goats) the tow guy would sell to the pick your part, who would tell us when the car was getting set down...
We would be waiting like Jackals to strip the feast ...
:buffet: .,.
They would crush what was left ...

The guy that bought Torstens wreck thinks he will have it back on the road one of these days. We donīt think so.
We would rather try to get a complete frame somewhere before we start cutting and welding.
It was very hard for Torsten to part from his 71 Cutlass but I think it was for the better. The 70 he has now is straight and he can concentrate on restoring it.
Lets get back to wrecking. If we had to crush a car I couldnīt imagine pushing it in the press without taking off all of the good parts.
I read the other post where the guy ran his 442 over with a monster truck. What an idiot. I guess he didnīt know what he had.
