Getting that hot rod itch...love that shine!

I visited a performance shop today and was enamored by all the chrome, stainless steel and aluminum parts readily available. It all started a month ago when I visited a local hot rod shop and bought a chrome alternator for my 57 Olds.

I find that I really like stainless braided water hoses and braided hose parts for the other possible areas of the engine. And I feel the interest growing...

I found myself looking at an all aluminum radiator. Now that was a sight to behold! Simply Beautiful. What a myriad of eyes sores that would eliminate. It would actually make the radiator a worthy front/center piece at any car show. We paint them and do what we can to spruce them up, but they truly are dogs to look at, especially stockwise on the older cars. So what's the answer?...An all aluminum radiator is the answer.

Any comments other than "Get a life"?

Even shiny aluminum looks bad when it gets all the bugs stuck between its teeth just can see the bugs better.

Talking There's No Face Like Chrome

Go for it!

Get a life? I would never say that, stuff like that makes it worth living and a lot less dull, no pun intended.

The Vista Cruiser engine comparment sure looks like something shiny is missing more and more lately, is your chrome fever contagious Dan?.

hey if you like the look of it then go for it. Any radiator takes a lot of cleaning to make it look presentable. Steel braided hoses look cool as well and the only concern is if it hurts your wallet too much. if the answer is no then do what you want , if in the future you want to swap back then keep the parts you replace. It's really that easy , this hobby is about what makes YOU happy
