1972 Cutlass Windshield Washer Jug Screws

I cant seem to find what screws were used to hold the windshield washet bottle to the fender well on my 72 Cutlass? Also, were the screws installed from the inside of the engine compartment or from the wheel well? I was at a local car show recently and saw both ways and cant seem to find it in my CSM.

TIA!

It’s screwed on from the inside of the well, so you will see the threads in the engine compartment. I have them if you need them, 3 sheet metal screws with 3/8 head. Same ones used for the headlight housings.

For aesthetic purposes, I installed mine from inside the fender well and put the nuts on from underneath.

Screws do not have nuts on them. The OEM application used 3/8" head screws screwed 'into' the fender well then 'into' the wash bottle from the 'outside' of the plastic fender/wheel well.

I plan to put them in so the threads will be visible in the engine compartment.

Hi, would these sheet metal screws be about 3/4 inch long?

Thanks,
Nick

I wouldn't use sheet metal screws. They don't have a very deep thread. Any hardware store will have more appropriate screws of moderate depth.

I'm uncertain if you were trying to say something or forgot to say something as you only quoted my quote.

Regarding your first post - Yeah, the length is about 3/4".
