Gilmore car museum all-olds show
https://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/eve...ts-search-form on August 24th 2019 from 9am to 4pm Gilmore Car Museum has an “all-olds show” In hickory springs, MI (just north of Kalamazoo mi) check out their web sight - this place is worth the drive even if it wasn’t for the all-olds show in my opinion. Curious if anyone on here will be there? I will be there (lands on my birthday and that’s what I told the girl I wanted to do 😁👍🏼

I’m not sure - I just discovered the museum last summer - place is incredible though - went to the muscle car event last year and it was great and several times just to see the museum itself - you can spend an entire day there and not see it all - I liked it on fb and now see its events pop up - same weekend as Grand Rapids metro cruise - I will be doing both

i’m a little new to swap meets - I went to the olds homecoming three times now and the swap meets were incredible - the muscle car show at gilmores swap meet paled in comparison but I’m not sure that makes it bad because the olds homecoming was insanely huge.

I believe the picture they used is the cover picture of this video. They have a barn find section and this picture is supposed to be there.

so how will we all know each other if we have a little group there? maybe we should arrange a place and time for everyone to meet? I don’t know the place that we’ll but if that sounds good to everyone let’s make a plan! 😁👍🏻

I like this idea - one obvious place is the “gas station” if you walk out of the museum and straight towards the grounds where the cars show outside - there is a yellow old school gas station recreation on the right side of the path - it’s pretty obvious when you see it? If this is cool... what time?

Gates open at 7am, pretty sure I won’t get there that early 🤣 but on the other hand I have no idea how busy it will get and if they will close down entry at any point because they are full? anyone been to an event there an knows how it works?

they won't turn people away and close entry ,it's a big place with plenty of room . it will be busy and ,there will be a line to get in,I like to get there early. a couple of weeks ago for their muscle car spectacular show and swap I heard there were over 1200 cars and over 40 vendors ,I was there but didn't count the cars or vendors but it was a great show and I bought some Olds parts from 3 different vendors one of which is a good friend from Lansing . and I didn't expect to find or buy anything for Oldsmobile parts there. I'm in for meeting somewhere . whatever time you decide. not sure I will be bringing my 68 since I am bringing parts to sell in the swap. I have some NOS parts to sell and many good used 68-72 . any requests for parts you need ? if I have it I will bring it for you to look over.

I’m thinking about bringing my 72 vert - but it’s not pretty yet - you think rolling works in progress will be welcome? If so do I need to register or just show up? Any ideas? And whoever picks the time I’m good with - I plan on being there real early

Anyway.
I'll be there Saturday with the green starfire. Same car that got the "centefold" in this months JWO.
The twin green starfire that is local here should be there as well.

Yes that is the picture they used, I've seen it a few times. It's a nice big picture in the hallway between rooms of the sprawling main building. Probably about 20 other barn find pictures on the wall there. Last year they had some barn find cars on premises, so all these pictures went up then. They didn't run it by you first before putting the picture up? That surprises me.
Anyway.

Hey Tom! It was nice to meet you at Gilmore - thank you for the company - sorry I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye - got off to rubber necking at all the nice rides - I’ll post a few pics from the show when I get a chance.

Gilmores first olds show - 8-24-19 - in the first few pictures you can see Toms beautiful orange 72 442 - and three cars down you can see my pinehurst green / primer grey / black and rust 72 hoopty convertible 😜 - what a great time! What a great place! The weather was perfect! Further down is the Linda Vaughn hurst pace car pictured with my son and the Hurst gal 🤙🏼
