Paint at last

One year and five months, but I think it was worth it. Now they've got to speckle the trunk, lizard coat the bottom, paint the interior and then we'll set her back on the frame.

You bet, but I've got to figure out how to get a police escort every where I go.

Wow Dennis!

That's going to be a head turning Starfire when it's done. Nice job on the quarter panels too!

Now to make sure the re-assembly doesn't scratch any of that beautiful paint. By any chance is it Garnet Mist (magic mirror Paint code L)?

Getting paint on is a mile stone in the project. It only seems closer to the finish line Good luck to your re assembly.

I have 26k in the sheet metal, body work, and paint at present. There's still speckling the trunk, painting the inside, lizard skin on the bottom and setting the body back on the frame$$$$$.
Yours truly did the front quarter panels before I took it to the shop. They did some grinding, tapping and filling, but pretty much left them alone.
You might call the paint a modern Garnett Mist. It's a 2015 Mustang Ruby Red with 6 coats of clear over the color which hasn't been buffed yet. Stand by for gleam!
The shop that's doing it is Atlanta Auto Restoration in Hampton Georgia.
The answer to the next question is a year and five months.
With a cream colored top, the fabric my wife has selected for the interior and the SSlV wheels it will be a show piece!
