Anyone know the difference between the 7040250 and the 7040251?

The 250 is a 350, and 251 is a 455. Second and primary, rods are different.

Must be time to post this again...

The '250 and '251 carbs use the same 070 primary jets (7031970) and the same 52C primary rods (7040701). The only difference in metering is the secondary rods. AT rods (7033658) on the '250 for 350 motors, AU rods (7033655) on the '251 for 455 motors. This does not take into account any adjustment differences in float settings, air valve spring wrap, etc.

Next week it'll be motor mounts. I never have luck with searches on this site but when they are posted in picture form I can at least save them to my Olds files.

@Joe_Padavano - Can you please post that for the 1971 Q-jet?

I don't have post-70 data in an easy list like that. I'll have to go dig out my foot-thick Rochester manual. Unfortunately I'm about to get on an airplane for a business trip so I can't get to it until the weekend.
