i have 87 cutlass with olds 455 with edelbrock cam,intake and carb planning on installing a set of Thornton w/z exhaust manifold. i would like to know if anyone has tried this setup. don't want to spend the money on header $$$$$$

Leroy, the W and Z manifolds will fit your 455 fine, but you may have clearance issues since it's in a G body Cutlass. Don't forget that the W/Z manifolds will probably run you more than a cheap set of headers.
