Anyone familiar with this?

I was at a garage sale last week and saw this in the corner among a bunch of stuff. I kinda had an idea what it was but not familiar with it. After looking closer I noticed most parts were there and its not really a high tech device unless you still have points in you ignition so I grabbed it. I haven't tested it on anything yet just cleaned it up a bit and go from there. I bought this a porta power and sawzall for 80.00

Its basically a tach and dwell meter for doing tuneups and some additional testing procedures. It will measure resistance 1-1k ohms, measure dc volts to 16v, measure current hooked in series to 200A, check points function, and alternator output. It was and probably still is a good home meter.

I had one that was more advanced. It had a gas analyzer as well as the electrical testing applications. Was missing the Wheatstone Bridge for the gas analysis and never found a replacement.

I have one that's very similar just a different brand. I use it often when tinkering with my 71 98.

I've always thought they were solid units and still see them on ebay now and then. Should last a DIY guy a long time. I believe their weak link is the connector on the accersory cables.

I have one doesn't work correctly anymore, but can't bring myself to toss it. I picked up a timing light that does all of the essentials. One handed operation makes things much easier and I can take it on the road with me.

Here's a couple of similar items for sale on ebay right now. There's many more. I'm tempted to go for the second one myself. It's never been used.
