Those going to OCA Nationals

I've enjoyed reading/responding to threads on this site since joining in April. I've noticed that quite a few have mentioned going to the OCA Nationals this year. How 'bout noting on your dash that you are a Member of the ClassicOldsmobile.com site, so we can put a face with the name? I'm willing. Your thoughts, if any?

That is a great idea, Aron. I know other ideas (buttons) have been tried by others in the past, but I like that idea. Easy to do, too!
'Course I've already met you! (lunch last year Nats on the GMHC tour).

Not going to the Nat this year, but have been before, and I have personal license plates on my Vista Cruiser, used to be on a 442 I had, that has my name 442 Harv, and I had lots of guys talk to me, see the plates, and say,or your 442 Harv, that are on some of the Olds sites. Always kind of fun to put a face with a name.

Ready, willing and able. Now all I have to do is remember!
Good idea Aron. Let's see what kind of response there is.

I should be there as well. Just look for a '68 white with black painted top 442.

I was actually thinking that, say, a week or two before the Nats, we can get a roll call going here on the site. Everyone can say what they're bringing and we'll figure out the best way to notice one another, and perhaps, set a time and place to meet.

Is that for all the cars that naturally spontaneously combust like a Spinal tap drummer?

If you are having your car in the show and judged, yes you need a fire extingisher, or you will be deducted 20 points if I remember the correct number. That is a easy point duction to avoid, have one

we could copy and paste the banner at the top of the page, print it out and use it as the notation on the dash.

I will be there - red '66 98 convert. Class 8A will have 3 98 converts parked together - 2 red and 1 white in between. Hope to see you there. Bruce

Yes, but it is only common sense to have one anyway.

A few years ago, there were three cars lost in a local car show around here due to fire (though root cause = stupidity). A kid leaving the show in a Camaro lit up the tires to "show off", the car took off pretty much sideways and before he collected it back up, he t-boned another show car. The Camaro broke out into flames immediately, burning it up, along with the car he hit and another car behind it. And not a fire extinguisher in sight...
Stranger things have happenend!
