The Guvnah's Oldsmobiles

We knew Vajenya's new Governor, Ralph Northam was a car guy and has a 53 Olds he restored as a high school kid. Turns out he's owned a 66 also but not sure what it was. From the local newspapers. Enjoy!

Well- he beats the hell out of what we had before. His predecessor was nothing but a carpetbagger. And with people on all sides wanting to either crush our old cars or tax them into oblivion (thanks to the overhyped auctions) , having a car guy in a state's executive mansion can ONLY be a good thing. One of the worst enemies the Vajenya old car community has is a R representing the 14th state House District, which I lived in for many years. He has continuously made it more onerous and expensive to own and maintain an old car here.

Well it's the D's who want the classic cars off the road and have tried multiple times to pass huge classic car tax's in multiple states, stating because of pollution and even a danger to society! Every single time these bill were written and brought out by D's! The Bills were all fought against by many including owners of classic cars and classic car insurers and the bills were defeated. And the tax fit's right in with the agenda of the D's!
