So the 1970 350 I rebuilt and put in my wagon had a drivers side exhaust manifold that I've never seen before and I can't imagine what kind of car it would fit in without the outlet banging the frame rail. I wish I had a picture of it but I dont. It looks like a capital Y. What I'm trying to say is it exits in the center of the manifold pointing straight down at the ground resembling a Chrysler small block manifold like on a 318 or 360. It was a 2bbl. It's just driving me crazy that I can't figure out what platform it came from. Any ideas?

sounds like an 88 they dropped out the center,because the steering gear is mounted next to the starter.so the pipe from it went under the pan in front of the sump of the pan,and behind the frame to the pass side manifold where it came in from the bottom.

Well, photos would help...

The 1964-70 full size cars used a center dump manifold on the driver's side, unique to full size cars with the SBO. The 350 would have come from a 1968-70 Delta 88. These were only offered with single exhaust and that center dump manifold was designed to mate to the crossover pipe that went in front of the steering linkage on those rear steer cars.

Yep that's the one right there in the picture. Ok makes sense, I've never looked at a full size under the hood from that era I just figured they weren't much different than my full size wagon. Thanks.
