I have a 1969 Cutlass I have had not long after it was made.

I had no window sticker or printout for it


I think it came with the Y60 accessory group option and it has vanity mirror, under hood light, trunk light and glove box light


BUT

No Mirror with a map light as should be included for the Y60 package. Just a day/night mirror , no wiring for it...


I am sure this mirror is original to the car but why no map light mirror if I have all the other items in the package??

What have others seen?

I don't have 1969 info in front of me. But..67 and 70 do not include the mirror light in this package of Y 60. The map light is how ever, but its located else where, as you might know, in the dash.

If you are looking to add a mirror light, I'm sure there are some sources available here at CO. Post a parts wanted ad. It is plug and play as the wire comes from the mirror and plugs right into the harness. I had great success getting mine working again from the help of at least two members here.

Good question as, according to my literature, the Y60 package for '68 did not include the rear view mirror map lamp but for the '69 model year it did. I'm wondering if perhaps your car is an early production '69 that was inadvertantly built to the '68 Y60 specs.

My '68 has the Y60 option and there it doesn't have the map light in the rear view mirror. My '69 also has the Y60 option and it does have the map light in the rear view mirror.
