1968 SSII wheel

I recently seen a low mileage 1968 Cutlass for sale. It has SSII wheels. I took a few pictures to document. These wheels seem to be have several exclusive features about them. Do the pictures look correct for 68 SSII wheels? I am not that familiar with them.

Yes they do look correct for '68. The grey color, the silvery painted trim around each opening, the beauty rings & center caps. They are probably 14x6". Nice original for '68!

Not "probably", definitely. 68-69 SSII wheels were all 14x6. The narrow trim ring confirms this. Note the difference in this 14x7 trim ring. In particular, note the difference in the valve stem location. Yes, I realize this is a snap-in center. Doesn't change the trim ring.

For completeness, here's a 14x7 with bolt in center.

The '68 trim rings also have a somewhat "brushed" look which is unique to that year. The wheels you pictured sure do look like '68 originals to me!
