Anyone install or have experience with the inside hood lock release offered aftermarket by TPP?

their lock assembly has two items that are not the correct finish. The one most noticeable after installation is the lever with teeth. I saved an original latch that is very nice and looks NOS.
the cable mounting tabs are wrong (original were plastic and prone to breaking) I used "plastic coat black liquid rubber". I layered several coatings with a drying time of 24 hrs per coat to the thickness of the original tabs. I let dry for a week and using a very fine file using light pressure I took out the imperfections and smoothed any ridges. Use patience, go slow, and make as little heat as you can. I had a cup of ice water and dipped often. People think the cable is NOS

Thank you, Dave.
I was looking for exactly that level of detail regarding appearance. I wasn't looking at the latch for functionality as much as appearance, especially on a ragtop. (Back in the day, you wouldn't lock the doors of a ragtop since the top would be cut if someone really wanted to get in.)
