mild 403 Cam and Lifter recommendations needed!

Doing a rebuild soon and need cam and lifter recommendations. i want new internals but if its not needed then i probably will not spend the unnecessary cash.

Its going to be driven as a daily. From home, School, and work mostly. Maybe a road trip or 2 haha. As im doing research, just trying to see whats the best setup before starting the build. Piston recommendations are also wanted! (All internal parts really)
thanks guys

With stock heads, the KB hyper 6cc pistons and rings in .024" oversize. The stock heads need the exhaust bowls opened and 1.625" valves in place of the stock 1.5". Stock rods and any bearings are fine for mild build. Contact Cutlassefi for cam suggestions. Stock trans and rear end?

The 2004R should have at least a shift kit like the Big Transgo kit with bigger boost valves and servo, hardened stator, hardened pump rings , pink 700R4 pump spring and a 700R4 bottom feed filter, you need a spacer or run the $200 aluminum pan. A 2000+ stall converter is also a good idea, along with a big trans cooler. You should also swap in at least 3.23 gears with 3.42 and up being better. Cap the manifold and add dual exhaust and you won't believe it is the same car.

I was thinking about spending the cash on getting my trans built to handle more before dropping in the 403. And adding a trans cooler.

And for gears. I know absolutely nothing about rear ends. Do you have to get a rear end from a different car or can you buy gears and have them installed?
i know nothing about how that works
