Heater Hose Tension Spring Hose Clamp (Corbin Style)

Can you reuse the heater hose 3/4" tension spring clamp? The engine only has about 200 miles on it since the rebuild and the new hose and clamp were put on, but I need to remove the hose briefly and then put it back on, and want to know if it is OK to reuse the spring clamp without worrying about it leaking. Would it help to use Permatex #2 Non-Hardening Form-A-Gasket Sealant? Attached is a photo of the clamps.

The only way you'll know if the clamps work is to try them. I always carried a couple of worm clamps just in case. Don't use sealant.
