If you could get another Olds?

Hey Guys I been meaning to post it thread for a while so hear it goes. What will be your next olds? or what was that Oldsmobile you never got but wanted, Or even worse sold and now regreat it? An ongoing joke I tell my family and friends is one day I'll have 10 cars. I got 4 currently, shoot last year I had 5 last year but not of the era I'm fond of. Ill be happy with 8 lol. But all in all I'm happy with whatever our good Lord sees fit I should have and am very greatful for what I do have being two 63 cutlass'. I would like for you to post your "next" Oldsmobile(s) on your "wish list". I would be happy with any of the three I posted bellow. My choices are the 61 olds 88 coupe , the 1948-50 olds rocket 88 coupe, and the 1958 88 or 98 sedan for the future family.
1961
1948-50
1958

So what about you?

My choice would be the 58 you have in the bottom photo. I had one offered to be here. Was an off white beige colour, dark roof, complete with no rust needing a few cosmetic touches. Spare 371 included, but as the story goes not enough funds at the time.

I would really like a 58 wagon.

My wish list is nearly as long as the "cars I currently own" list in my sig line.

Probably the two I want that I don't currently own are a 61 bubble top and a 36-ish street rod.

Oh, and an 83-84 H/O.

And a 1970 pace car.

And a 65 Starfire 4spd.

And a mid-70s Starfire.

And a 72 H/O convert

And a 1969 W32

And a 1957 J2

And a 1940s woodie wagon

And... and... and...

1969 442, console 4 speed/455/buckets hardtop. I need to sell a lot of my current collection at top dollar before that could be a reality though.

Lol, Thier one around for like 3k I think with no engine-trans round hear.

Joe every time you post on my treads I have to go Google cool new things.

Those 69-70 442 man... I'm guessing because I've been in a car with 455 1970 I understand. You cant just drive something slower after u feel that torque.

Good choices Guys

For the most part, I have had every car that I actually "wanted"... No need for anymore, it's actually time to start down sizing the fleet I currently have... As for regrets, The only only two I do actually regret selling was one of my Rallye 350's, and a 1964 Ford Falcon... The Falcon was my first full on ground up restoration before starting to concentrate on my Oldsmobile addiction...

There are a lot of cars I wouldn't mind still having and a lot more that I wouldn't mind having... Not just Oldsmobiles. I'll just keep playing with the one I have though.

For some crazy reason I want a 371 Old's powered RAT ROD.It would have to be of orphan linage,30's or early 40's body, Old's, Hudson, Gram or Nash or the like, could be a pickup. I'd dress up that 371 to look like a 303 with green paint and early valve covers pushing a slant pan and surprise a few bow tie types. Ya that's what I need as I approach 70 years old. Still have got a bit of young en in me.... Tedd

Not TOO long a list:

'70 Cutlass convertible, preferably with 455, but the 350's a nice engine in that car.

'65-68 98, preferably an LS.

'61-'62 F-85 or Cutlass.

'61-'64 98, maybe an 88, especially a bubble-top.

'63-'70 Wagon, preferably a Vista.

Others I wouldn't mind having:

'59 Caddy
'59 Buick
'60 DeSoto
'60 Chrysler 2-door
'64-'67 Full-Size Chrysler

And I'm constantly looking for another '63-'65 (maybe -'67) Dart or Valiant 4-door.

I saw a movie with Burt Reynolds called "WW and the Dixie Dance Kings" and they drove around in a great looking Olds, I believe he called it a 55 Golden Anniversary, the paint color amazing. I would love to have one of those.
Thanks, Ron

Can I ask a stupid and somewhat unrelated IT question here? What is the deal I notice recently with posting photos that are screen shots from one's phone (like those above)? I see this in a lot of places, and it makes no sense to me. The photo on your phone is ALREADY a JPG. Can't you just attach the original JPG to the post? The screen shot is just a crappier, smaller version of the original JPG.

+1.

I find it visually confusing and more than a little bit annoying.

I have an iPhone. If I want to send a picture to someone, I just "Copy" it and then "Paste" it where I want it to be. Do other brands not work that way?

Always want my 2nd car (at 15) '50 Olds 2 door coupe. Don't know if I could steer it now, though. Big steering wheel, and no P/S. We have a '94 Cutlass convertible, and would LOVE to have a '89-'96 Cutlass S Coupe. Love the stance, and look. Alack, alas, not enough money, room, or time......LOL!

As far as the pictures. I'll try next time. It was faster for me because I didn't want to add space to my phone, and screenshot pics for some reason load faster. Time is money lol. I got u next time or try harder. So I really don't have the picture in my phone I shortcut the process with a snapshot.. Sorry guys

If money were not an object, please don't take this personally but my next car would probably not be and Olds, but a close cousin...a Buick.

To me, the 1953 Buick Skylark is the most beautiful car that has ever been built. It's lines are unmatched by any car before or since in my humble opinion.

Hmm... so many to choose from. Here are the top 3 that I've been seriously considering recently. Once that darn house sells!

Maybe a 56 Super 88, 4 door hardtop:

Or a 48 78 2 door fastback:

Or a 69 98 convertible:

I don't think I'll ever get one but I'd like a '79 H/O white with gold and T-Tops. Only thing it would be somewhat resto-modded. Better suspension, 17" rims and real duals
