Did it come from Linders or Standard??

WOW! To the wayback machine, Mr. Peabody!

Linders, actually. This would have been about 1975. I towed it home to Shrewsbury with my 68 Vista. A few years later, Standard had a 1970 W-31 in it. I scored the 3.42 anti-spin axle out of that car. Unfortunately, as an impoverished college student, I was unable to buy any other parts off of it.

There also was a third wrecking yard off of Plantation Street - the name escapes me. That's where I got the 400 motor I put in that 68 442 to replace the siezed original.

Thanks for making my day!

I was good friends with Sonny at Standard until he passed away a few years ago. They had a lot of interesting cars way back in the "lot". Don't remember any yard on Plantation Street, but did buy a lot from Ben McClaren in Oxford, Curboy's in Sturbridge and Amherst - Oakham. Not many yards left, and even less that have old stuff left. I just found one in RI that has a lot of old stuff, but was told that it is by "invitation" only. Hope to get into that one before the summer ends.
