Who has the best repop OAI flapper door, 70-72

I am wondering who has the best reproduction flapper door that fits the original OAI top. I picked up a repop about 5 years ago but do not know where I got it from. I had to cut and grind and melt it to make it work. I was told that Thornton's does not fit the original top that well either but will work. Any experience with this.
Would like to find something that will go right on with no modifications.

Eric
I bought a flapper door from Troy and it will work but takes some minor modifications of both parts to make it work. Once installed you can see the mods only if you know what you are looking for otherwise works like it should and looks pretty good.

I don't know if the unit that Brothers reproduces is any different, even if the Brothers unit worked I still wouldn't buy it.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Fred. When you say both parts, Do you mean that the original top has to be modified to work with it?

Yes it does to accommodate the flapper, the areas where it inserts have to be trimmed since they don't line up with the original top. I was surprised by this after I ordered it.

I will try to post a pic of it later today.

Have you looked for an original flapper door instead? It was 10 years ago, but I paid only $80 for a mint used one by simply calling a well-known Olds used parts man and asking if he had one.

Original ones are near impossible to find without getting the entire setup this day and age.

FYI

I picked up a repop from the parts place. It fit perfect but it is not flat. It has a bow in the middle of it.
