My daily stupid question...is hood latch the same for '70 OAI hood and '71 base hood?
My 1970 OAI hood didn't come with a hood latch. Can I use the one off of my 1971 flat hood? I was told that they might be different from 1970 to 1971.

Are you talking the hook that's attached to the hood? If so, I believe they are different. I don't remember which, but one had the hook go into the core support on the passengerside of center. The other on the drivers side of center. If you have the 71 loose and if it bolts up to the hood, hold it up to the hood and ease it down to see if it will line up. John
