Thanks everybody. Actually it's not my car, I just restored it for a friend. I have a black 77 Starfire SX. Yes this car has a 231 V6. No it won't be getting a turbo GN motor - the owners like their cars bone stock.

I checked out this car today and loved it. Very nice preservation of a not so well know classic. Nice work!

We saw it last night and we were very impressed with the quality of the work. One thing that baffled us though was where would you even find parts for this car? I'm pretty sure at the entire swap meet there was not one Starfire part to be found. Are most of the parts NOS or good used?

I've been collecting NOS parts for over 10 years and used 58 NOS parts during restoration. One of the good things is that there is not much demand for these cars so I am able to find stuff

There is a good network of H body enthusiasts over on h-body.org that helped me find used parts. The stripes and decals I had to trace and have scanned and reproduced. That took quite a while!

Very impressive and I can really appreciate the quality of the restoration. I looked it over several times and thanks for showing it, these cars have been forgotten and it is rare to see one in any condition let alone as new.

I have seen the progress on this car over the past 5 years and it came out amazing! The color combination is just absolutely stunning in person. As was the restoration. Congrats to both the restorer and the owners!

I've loved the H-body Starfires since they were new. This car was absolutely beautiful. The paint just popped in the sun. Talk about eye-catching. And these cars are about as rare today as my 62 wagon. Very nicely done.

I saw the car but could never catch you around it. Impressive!

How did it feel to be the only one there?

I spent more time looking at this car than any other one. So cool - you must have had the patience of Job looking for those NOS parts. Congratulations!!!
