Syracuse Nationals 2017

Hi...Spent Saturday at the Syracuse Nationals and walked a total of 9.82 miles in the 12 hours I was there in an attempt to find and photograph every Olds showing that day. Below is a link to the 300 pics I took. Mainly Olds but there's some other stuff that caught my eye (the good, the bad, and the just plain ugly!) as well.

I counted 40 Olds (including mine) out of the reported over 8000 cars on display. A decent showing for Olds compared to other years, though I was surprised I didn't see many older ones from the 40s or 50s.

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing... The two tone brown 57 Olds must have gotten a lot of attention...

Yes, the 57 was a very impressive custom restoration. I was impressed with the green 71 442. Appeared to have been restored to precise original specs as far as I could tell. Then there was the 71 with a 71 front bumper but with a 70 rear bumper. The stuff you see at these gatherings!

I've seen a lot of them at local car shows and past Nationals. The blue 68 is owned by Dane T. I think he's a member here. The red 68 vert and 69 H/O that were together are a father and son that are there every year. I took many pics of that 68 to use as a reference for my restoration. The blue 66 cutlass convertible is beautiful. The paint on it is just amazing. I've talked to the owner a bunch of times. I run into him at practically every local car show West of Syracuse.

I usually go every year but haven't for the last two. I really tried to take off of work Friday but just had too much going on. I have some friends from Boston that make the 300 mile drive every year for the show. They're all in their 70's and have hot rods.

Amazing job on the pics. Encouraging other members that if you have a few minutes to go through them. Quality cars there.

Thanks for the pics. I've attended the last 3 years but am having too many issues with my Cutlass to attend this year.

I see a few Oldsmobiles made it into the top 100 lot.

You caught a few local cars (non-Olds) from my area including a few I normally travel with.

Hopefully you'll see one more Olds next year.
