"Running down a dream" by Tom Petty.

He pretty much summed up my whole adventure to get my convertible.

There are several, Kathy's song is great (and she's a great lady too!).

I also like me some Delbert McClinton "Every Time I Roll the Dice"- "She's got a big Oldsmobeeeel, she got a dog that don't bite..."

My Travelin' Tunes list would take up pages and pages....

Only have an AM radio in it now, and the speaker is dead. Oh well, you reminded me of another project I have to do.

If I had to pick a song, that would be a tough one. I would be happy with anything from Linkin Park or Metallica.

Two words: radio delete.

Or is it three words?: "block off plate".

Anyway, the sound of my car's Flowmasters is music to my ears.

The Lumberjack song is what all manly men should be playing in their manly Oldsmobiles, in Canada at least.

"I'm an Olds owner and I'm okay I sleep all night I work all day"

If you have any half price book stores in your area, Monty can often be found there in the comedy section, usually on LPs. I was introduced to Python some 25 years ago; my friend's dad was British and had many of the albums. I think he is still just as funny now...
I think the dead parrot skit was one of the best...

Never even heard of Ab Fab, but I did enjoy Benny Hill when I was young. I learned a lot from it while growing up! My mom never approved of the show for some reason...

If this were a poll and only selected old pharts could vote, I'd bet a dime to a dounut, "Green Onions" would win hands down.

>_< so much to choose from! ah... lets see....

#1.0) Nickleback - Animals
#1.1) Tom Petty - Saving Grace
#1.2) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow
#1.3) Dion and the Belmonts - The Wanderer

maybe not in that order... but those are probably my favorite driving songs, until I think of something else... my #1 driving song list could hit 100 songs easily.

Make that 3 of us then! Most of my friends can't stand it, but I think it's hysterical

I warned you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you knew, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little bunny, isn't it?

Ah, good stuff, that Booker T & The MGs. I got to see them in concert a couple years back here in NYC--original lineup, too: Booker T, Donald "Duck" Dunn, and Steve Cropper.

I'm partial to "Hip Hug Her", but Green Onions is definitely a classic.
Hiphughercover.jpg

I got my original stereo converted into AM/FM with an AUX line so I can plug in my iPod. From there, I record radio airchecks from the '60s and put them on my iPod nano, which will fit nicely in my ashtray. For those who aren't sure what radio airchecks are, check out this site: www.reelradio.com . I suggest starting with some of the Real Don Steel airchecks. They're some of the best quality around, and are usually nice and long (around an hour or so). In any event, that's what I plan on listening to if I ever get my car together.

Oh, and re: Monty Python, you guys do realize that's a comedy troupe, not just one guy? Wasn't sure which cast member you were talking about or just liked all of it. I'm a big John Cleese fan, but also like Eric Idle as well. Heck, they're all good.
