Fitech

Here's where I mounted the "fuel command center" on my 65 F85. I ran the vent line back to the tank. Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the TBI unit part which is on backorder till 6/15. Chose the FITECH unit over the FAST system because two of my friends that have the Fast units suffered 3 computer failures between the two of them. That and the fact the Fitech uses many standard GM components in their units and is quite a bit cheaper.

I wish I could show you my install, but I haven't been able to do it yet.
Between an above ground pool needing a complete releveling, a strained back due to reworking the landscaping around the pool, followed up by a pretty rough case of plantar fasciits, I'm having a dandy of a spring/early summer.
I didn't go with the fuel command center, as I have been following several threads on other car forums, where the system wasn't working properly.
Several cases were the stock mechanical pump couldn't supply enough fuel to the CC.
Others were having problems with the CC not venting back to the tank properly. Fuel was plugging up the vent line and bogging down the inner fuel pump.
I'm going with a homemade version of a Vaporworx in-tank fuel system, using a 2010 Camaro pump and custom made tank tray.
I'll post pics of the tank when I get them off my phone.

Here's the tank that my brother built for me.
The last pic is of another one he had done a year ago. I don't have any close ups of mine.
I'm also using a combination of 3/8 stainless lines and PTFE braided lines.
Cant' wait to get started on this.....
*my brother didn't weld them up, it was a friend of his that hooked him up.

I don't have many pics yet, as I am still in process. I'm running an Edelbrock intake, so it has the extra spot for the second temp unit.
I chose the Spectre GM37BFI in tank pump for fuel delivery. I too have read only bad things about the fuel 'command' center. You can use your original steel line for the return or a few other options. I should have mine running a few weeks, I'll post picks and review then.
