Olds homecoming. Anyone have a golf cart to rent?

Hello all. My dad wants to go to the homecoming show. Wanted to know if someone there would rent a golf cart for a couple of hours. My dad will be 90 this July and has a little trouble walking the whole way. He is going on the honor flight this weekend. He was in wwll. Glad he can still go. My grandpa and my dad had a small garage in Spencerville ohio for 90 years. They were a Oldsmobile dealer until 1970 when the small dealers got snuffed out. Thanks for any help. Ron

Wish I had one, but I don't. That's great that he gets a chance to go to D.C. It's nice to see the folks in Fort Wayne care about the veterans , and do the honor flight for them. Thank your dad for me for serving . I'm going to homecoming , I live in Decatur Indiana .

I don't have a cart but will have a place he can stop to rest for as long as he likes. I will be vending from a 77 gmc motorhome and he can hang out in the AC if needed. Cheers

Ron,
If a cart isn't available maybe someone has a wheelchair they could lend you. It might actually be better in a wheelchair to get into tighter areas.

Also wondering if there's a local veterans group that could help you.

I may be able to help with cooperation of the homecoming people.

My dealership courtesy of myself has loaned out two Kubota RTV's to the show for the past three years. I might be able to snag you an hour of use depending on the time frame usually the carts are not being fully utilized 11 to 12 and 1 to 2 PM.

With that being said and being a WWII veteran he may not want to ride in a Japanese branded unit (built in Jefferson Georgia)

Please shoot me a PM and I will call the head chairperson of homecoming to see if we can get them to help out.

Pat

If you decide you can use a wheelchair but don't know where to borrow one,my local family owned pharmacy rents wheelchairs, maybe you have one in your area. Not sure if Walgreens or CVS offers that service.

I can not imagine the grief some of these people will have trying to collect from the production company insurance. Imagine you were the owner of the 204 mile 1990 Camaro IROC-Z, that sold some years ago for almost $50,000 and you rented it to these guys, all before the car had sold for the aforementioned $50K so there were no precedents. The insurance company would look at a valuation guide, and say top dollar is like $17K and that is what you get... You are screwed, trying to fight an insurance company is an uphill battle...
