442 Emblem Spacing

Hello everyone. I'm working on building a file to create a template to drill fender holes for a 69 442. Using the photo paul69442 sent me I've come up with this. Over all from the tip of the 4 to the tail of the 2 it's 5.5" wide. The spacing is larger obviously between the 4 and 2. Does this look correct ? Once I nail this a template file will be simple to send to all in need

Just in case someone else has looked at this and is also curious I figured I'd let you know what I've learned. From the factory the fender "442" is 5.5" wide overall and the spacing is unequal between the 4 and the 2. What you see in the pic is correct. I have a template created on a CNC table. If anyone wants the file or a cut template just let me know.

If the spacing is the same for a 1970 442 I'll take a template. I'll send you a pm.

Be sure to include the actual dimensions on the file, too. Drawings>templates.

I believe the spacing is the same from 1969 - 1972 I'm now working on a template for the trunk lid. I can easily include the measurements for the holes and I have placement measurements for a 69 fender. I'm not sure exactly where these go on a 70 - 72 fender

Can you send me a set of those dimensions? 50$ for that template on eBay is ridiculos

Pay no attention to the carnage at the front of the car. This was on my 1970 442.
