What kind of animal was this?

I have had this car for a couple weeks & thought I looked at it carefully. Today I went out to check the steering wheel carefully & saw this lying in the front seat.

Took me a second but then I kind recognized the shape of an animal. It was face down in the seat & for a second I thought it kinda looked like an owl. I dug it out of the car & turned it over & now I'm not sure what the heck it is. I don't think it's a cat, dog, opossum or raccoon??? It does have tail of some sort. Hard to tell how long it is. It looks like it all kind of melted or mummified together & it does not stink, at least not from a few feet away. I think it's been dead for a long time. Raccoon? Fox? ET???

Think I'll keep it for Halloween decoration. I'm sure the wife & kids will love it!

With a face like that, looks like a possum (or is it opossum?) to me.

How many teeth does it have? Possums have a zillion needle-like teeth, with less prominent canines (fangs).

I would say raccoon, judging by the long fingers.

No chupacabras that far north. Everybody knows they're afraid of the bigfoots .
