what to do with W-30 intake after cleaning

Hi, looking for some insight as to what I should do with a W-30 aluminum intake after cleaning to keep it clean . I was thinking of some type of fuel resistant satin clear, but not to sure if there is a product that will not flake off or turn yellow when the enigne is run.

I would leave it bare. I tried spraying , with high heat clear, was not happy after a couple day, ended up taking it off.

If you desire originality then you should keep it bare- it will be like my aluminum Edelbrock eventually.

I decided to paint mine with VHT aluminum color but not sure about applying the clear over it yet.

I polished mine with Auto Sol aluminum polish. after about 2 years it's starting to need another cleaning. Since a had to pull the intake for a mangled push rod i'm going to hit it again before install.

Got mine all cleaned up, used a “high temp” clear and the exhaust runners turned brown 3 minutes into the break-in......

Had to take it off, strip it and left it bare. Looks great 7+ years later. Use lacquer thinner on a white t-shirt to dab up anything that gets on it.

Have it vapor blasted and you wont need to paint it and it will look more like the original finish.
